Job Summary
Part-time Plasma Center Screener/Phlebotomist at BioLife/Takeda in Ankeny, IA. You will screen new and repeat plasma donors, perform phlebotomy, record donor vital signs and finger stick results, prepare donor charts, and maintain accurate records using the Donor Information System. The role involves greeting donors, ensuring their safety, coordinating donor compensation, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. Schedule flexibility includes evenings, weekends, and holidays; comprehensive paid training and a benefits package are provided. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to perform phlebotomy tasks as part of center operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years experience in a customer or patient facing role (helpful)
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to perform phlebotomy and screen donors
- Ability to lift and move up to 32-50 lbs as needed
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Experience with Donor Information System (preferable)
