Job Summary

As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), you will determine donor eligibility for plasma donation and manage donor adverse events. Responsibilities include conducting medical history interviews, performing physical exams, blood testing, and reviewing lab test results. You will support emergency protocols, manage employee incidents, and ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards. Candidates must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA) and hold current CPR and AED certification. Preference for candidates with clinical or hospital experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently licensed or certified as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state where responsibilities will be assigned
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
  • Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
  • Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
