Job Summary
Plasma Center Nurse – RN providing patient-focused nursing care in a BioLife plasma donation center. Determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results. Conduct medical history interviews, informed consent, physical examinations, and IV therapy under Center Physician guidance. Ensure donor safety and compliance with SOPs; support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu) for employees; act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS; coordinate with Center Manager and Medical Affairs for medical issues and referrals.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas
- CPR and AED certification
- Basic IV therapy competency
- FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
