Job Summary
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory results, and notifying donors of unsuitable results. Works under the Center Manager and Center Physician; familiar with plasma collection regulations and environmental, health and safety (EHS) guidance. Requires RN/NP/PA licensure, CPR/AED certification, basic IV therapy requirements, and completion of FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist; typically at least two years of clinical or hospital experience. Provides donor safety oversight, informed consent processes, and coordination with Medical Affairs and center leadership; located in Spartanburg, SC.
Required Qualifications
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Licensed or certified RN/NP/PA in the appropriate state
- Graduate from a recognized nursing program with state licensure/certification
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
- FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years clinical or hospital setting experience
