Job Summary
Determine donor eligibility through informed consent, medical history interviews, and physical examinations while managing adverse events and reviewing laboratory results. Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and coordinate medical emergencies by developing standing orders and arranging transport to emergency facilities. Support employee vaccination programs and manage incidents requiring occupational health evaluation. You will also act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized to support investigations of local community threats. This role requires a licensed RN with two years of clinical experience and CPR/AED certification. Located in Waterloo, IA, the position offers an hourly wage between $33.44 and $45.98 and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
