Job Summary
The Plasma Center Nurse LVN is responsible for determining donor eligibility for plasma donation, managing adverse events, reviewing lab test results, and notifying donors of unsatisfactory results. Essential duties include conducting medical history interviews, ensuring informed consent, managing medical emergencies, coordinating vaccination programs for employees, and supporting operational needs under the guidance of the Center Manager and Physician. This position requires a commitment to customer service and familiarity with plasma collection regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
Desired Qualifications
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
