Job Summary
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife/Takeda core responsibilities include determining donor eligibility and managing donor safety, adverse events, and laboratory result review; notifying donors of unsuitable results; supporting the Center Physician and Center Manager with medical issues; ensuring compliance with SOPs and assisting with vaccination programs and EHS-related activities; may serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS. Requires an LPN/LVN license or state certification, CPR/AED, ability to perform medical history interviews, physical exams, blood testing oversight, IV therapy qualifications, and a minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current LPN or LVN license/certification in the state of responsibility
- CPR and AED certification
- FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
- IV therapy qualifications as required by state
