Job Summary
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) determines donor eligibility, manages donor adverse events, reviews laboratory test results, and notifies donors of unsuitable results. Working under the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) with medical guidance from the Center Physician, the nurse supports plasma center operations, follows SOPs, and participates in vaccination programs and employee health initiatives. Requires an LPN/LVN license, CPR/AED, basic IV therapy training, FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training, and two years of clinical experience. Location is McDonough, GA; full-time role with Takeda/BioLife benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current LPN or LVN licensure in the state of assignment
- CPR and AED certification
- Satisfactory completion of FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
