Plant Utility Technician

Job Summary
Maintain plant cleanliness by sweeping, mopping floors, and promptly cleaning oil spills, resin leaks, and hydraulic hazards. Replace oil absorption materials, collect trash, and organize tools to support 5S/Lean initiatives. Operate a forklift as needed to move materials and supply worksites with raw handles and gaskets. Insert wire or plastic handles into pails, insert gaskets into covers, and orient finished parts on pallets per production orders. Continuously monitor product quality, rework items in HFI as needed, and attend all safety meetings. Work an overnight shift (8:00 pm - 8:00 am) with a shift differential, performing duties on foot for up to 11 hours while lifting 20 lbs repeatedly.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
- Troubleshoot problems and report issues
- Must work well in team environment
- Ability to be on foot for up to 11 hours per shift
- Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
- Ability to lift 20 lbs. repeatedly
- Willing to work reasonable overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification upon hire)
