Job Summary
Support pre- and post-system operations for the Operations Facility; perform maintenance on fluid and mechanical systems and ancillary equipment; operate panels/automation for ejector, mixer, cooling, silane, combustible air, and other fluids (fuel, LOX, R134, LN2, hydraulic, high pressure air, etc.) with oversight from level 2 certified or above technician; conduct rounds and readings of plant subsystems; troubleshoot failures with lead/senior technician; use varied hand/power tools and facility software; maintain logs; complete Safe Plan of Action forms and safety reports; obtain and maintain minimal certification on facility systems and lifting equipment; assist with setup/installation/checkout/teardown of subsystems for research operations; familiarize with facility and safety practices; work under lead/supervisor direction; phys& env requirements include office/test environments with potential exposure to high noise, hazardous materials, and travel; must have ability to obtain/maintain security clearance if required; U.S. Citizenship is required.
Required Qualifications
- Four (4) years of experience in operation, maintenance, and repair of like or typical equipment as utilized in high pressure air and gas compressor or other gas compressing/dispensing plant operations.
- Must have a general knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Experience in reading and identifying typical symbols on mechanical schematics/drawings.
- Experience in understanding and following written standard operating procedures and guidelines.
