Job Summary
This role involves troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment and controls for power plant operations. Candidates must possess over five years of experience in evaluating and testing generating plant and substation power equipment, along with relevant electrical theory education. Responsibilities include performing maintenance, inspection, and testing of electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and developing preventive maintenance procedures. Ideal candidates should be proficient in reading electrical schematics and able to use various testing equipment. The position reports to the Production Supervisor and requires flexibility to work rotating shifts and possible overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Over five years related work experience in electrical work
- Satisfactory completion of post-high school courses in AC & DC electrical theory/equipment applications
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
- Ability to meet Company driving standards
- Able to qualify for TWIC card
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in report preparation
- Working knowledge of mathematics up to and including trigonometry
- Experience in computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
Additional Requirements
- Must be capable of satisfying a medical examination for participation in Emergency Response Team
- Employee may be required to work in adverse conditions
