Plant Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary

Lead all plant-level supply chain and logistics operations to maximize manufacturing efficiency, minimize cost, and ensure on-time delivery of materials and finished goods. Direct production control, demand planning, manufacturing scheduling, procurement, inventory management, and vendor qualification while managing third-party logistics providers and overseeing warehouse management. Partner with Operations to develop manufacturing schedules aligned with sales forecasts, analyze inventory trends to improve material availability, and lead root cause analysis for supply chain issues. Develop and manage departmental budgets, drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean Manufacturing, and support environmental sustainability efforts. Collaborate cross-functionally with plant, regional, and global teams to execute strategic initiatives. This staff-level position reports to the Site Manager with a matrix relationship to Corporate leadership, requiring Monday through Friday availability to support all operating shifts as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of seven years of supply chain experience
  • Three to four years in a management role within a plant manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Proven skills in negotiation, influence management, and conflict resolution
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Experience with demand forecasting, S&OP, and manufacturing scheduling
  • Solid project management capabilities
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing supply chain operations
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems
  • Working knowledge of transportation management systems
  • Availability to support all operating shifts as needed
