Job Summary
Support all aspects of the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Stryker Creek Power Plant, supervising multi-skill production and maintenance personnel to achieve maximum reliable and safe unit operation. Effectively manage employee relations and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while monitoring documentation. Coordinate special projects, respond to emergency call-outs, and troubleshoot system problems by interfacing with outside vendors and contractors. Plan and schedule plant site activities using Maximo and WST. Create ownership of the plant-level budget to control spend and stay on track.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to some of the skills listed
- Candidate must be experienced in using Maximo for planning work, creating purchase requests, and creating job plans
- Candidate must be experienced in WST, the preferred scheduling tool used by Vistra
- Experience with operations and maintenance at a power plant
- Experience with control operator experience on a unit with a drum boiler
- Power generation plant supervision

- Good computer skills using Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience in computer maintenance management systems
- Understanding of CMMS and/or Maximo programs

Desired Qualifications
- Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to some of the skills listed
- Technical background or Instrumentation and Control background
- Experience with operations and maintenance at a power plant particularly control operator experience on a unit with a drum boiler
- Power generation plant supervision, leadership, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Experience in computer maintenance management systems and an understanding of CMMS and/or Maximo programs preferred
- Some or all of the following: Safety (people and process)
- Environmental/Regulatory Compliance
- Operations/Unit Performance
- Budget ownership at a plant level
