Job Summary
Coach a team to meet production, quality, and safety objectives by recruiting, training, and assigning work priorities. Conduct performance reviews, enforce disciplinary actions for poor behavior, and ensure all personnel receive instruction on safety procedures, equipment use, and company policies. Coordinate with internal and external customers, maintain accurate records, and immediately report accidents to the Operations Manager within 24 hours. Monitor working conditions, apply problem-solving techniques like 8D and 5 Why to resolve quality issues, and take timely corrective action as required. Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- Basic math and reading skills obtained by a high school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehouse personnel
- Demonstrates the ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experience and successful past performance
- Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring
- Successful leadership and team building skills
- Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2-3 years previous supervisory experience in a related field
- Possess the knowledge of metals handled in regard to proper staging, processing, packaging, and shipping
- First aid and CPR training
- Exposure to labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, lean practices and sale functions
