Plant Supervisor - Extrusion Coating - D Shift

Job Summary
Analyze work orders to create machining schedules, determine stock requirements, and requisition materials from storage. Interpret blueprints and job orders for workers while assigning duties and directing machine adjustments to meet production standards. Plan material flow, develop physical layouts, and establish procedures to improve equipment performance and product quality. Resolve work problems, maintain time and production records, and develop capital equipment justifications for process technology improvements. Interface with the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met. Work the D Shift (Thursday through Saturday and every other Sunday, 7PM to 7AM).
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work D Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Every Other Sunday, 7PM to 7AM
- Associate's degree in manufacturing or related field preferred and at least three years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment; and at least five years in a plastics or extrusion environment
- Must have organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exceptional attention to detail and good follow-up skills
- Possess good problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees and vendors
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Willingness to work as team member or independently
- Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in manufacturing or related field preferred
