Plant Supervisor 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Oversee production processes, assign work, and analyze productivity to meet quotas and deadlines while enforcing company policies and standard operating procedures. Schedule personnel, monitor progress, and revise shifts to minimize overtime, ensuring daily production reporting and adherence to food safety and quality requirements. Supervise teams to maintain efficiency, solve problems, and foster collaboration within a safe work environment. Maintain working relationships with the union per the collective bargaining agreement. Requires a 4-year degree or equivalent experience in high-speed manufacturing, with 2-4 years in supervisory roles, and the ability to work the 2nd shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year degree or equivalent work experience in a high speed manufacturing environment, preferably consumer packaged goods
- Minimum 2 - 4 years experience supervisory experience in a fast paced consumer packaged goods environment
- Better Process School (will provide)
- Computer skills
- Self-motivation and safety awareness
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and subordinates using both verbal and written formats
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Read written work orders, manuals, measurement instruments and company-posted work and safety policies, procedures and programs
- Requires employee to directly supervise others
- Fosters collaboration and teamwork
- Gains support and commitment from within departments as well as with other divisions within the organization
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- May be exposed to loud noises, required to wear hearing protection
- May be exposed to hot, wet, or cool conditions
- Some travel may be available
- 2nd shift 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
