Job Summary
Responsible for day-to-day execution of the production plan, supervising shift staff to meet safety, quality, and cost standards; utilize aseptic process knowledge to maintain product integrity; oversee supervisors, formulate action plans for process improvements and cost reductions, assist with scheduling to meet customer needs, report issues affecting operations, promote high morale and fair treatment, collaborate with Accounting/HR/Purchasing, demonstrate leadership and training, contribute to annual budgeting and capital planning, and deliver professional presentations while enforcing company policies including union contracts and safety programs. Requires a 4-year degree or equivalent experience, 3-5 years in food processing with supervisory experience, and strong budgeting, communication, and technical knowledge; expects travel and ability to manage a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- 4 yr degree or relevant work experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably consumer packaged goods
- 3-5 yrs. of experience in a food processing environment
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience
- Computer skills
