Plant Superintendent

Job Summary
Plant Superintendent oversees and coordinates the operation of one or more plants, ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance; directs day-to-day activities for mining, processing, stockpiling, loading and shipping of aggregate; plans, staffs and supervises to ensure uninterrupted supply, communicates goals, develops personnel, and implements production and scheduling programs to increase productivity while maintaining safety and controlling expenses. Responsibilities include managing production, maintenance, and shipping personnel; supervising performance and conduct; coordinating schedules; analyzing production data and KPI reports; troubleshooting production problems; ensuring conformance with safety, codes and regulations; and contributing to budgetary considerations. Qualifications emphasize high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of equivalent experience, plus preferred Associate's degree and 5 years of operational/production experience; strong communication and leadership skills; knowledge of mining and plant production systems; and familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, water systems, pumps, motors, conveyors, and PPE. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of equivalent experience
- Associate's degree preferred
- 5 years operational/production experience
- Good communication, negotiation, planning, scheduling and people management abilities
- Knowledge of sand and aggregate mining and related raw materials plant production
- Flexibility with electrical/hydraulic/water systems and related equipment
