Plant Services Laborer

Job Summary
Maintain and repair equipment using hand and power tools while ensuring proper lubrication. Perform cleaning duties, including interior housekeeping, exterior grounds cleanup, snow removal, and painting of structures. Obtain and deliver materials by driving company vehicles and perform utility labor. Assist operations and maintenance team members and crafts people as required. Submit to pre-employment drug screening and physical exam, possess a valid driver's license, and wear appropriate respirators when safety procedures warrant use. Work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform modestly heavy physical work outdoors or indoors in all seasons.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work close to operating equipment safely and without interruption of service
- Have a good safety record
- Must be willing to take and perform orders intelligently and to work harmoniously with other employees
- Must submit to company required pre-employment drug screening and physical exam
- Must possess a valid driver license in good standing in order to operate a company vehicle
- Must have and maintain a driving record meeting the standards of the company
- Must be able to wear a half face, full face or powered air respirators (PAPR) when proper safety procedures warrant use
- Must be able to lift and / or operate machinery, tools, etc., weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to climb ladders, and / or stairs
- Must be able to work in hot areas
- Must be able to perform modestly heavy physical work outdoors/ indoors in all seasons and at times for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in industrial and electric generation locations
