Job Summary
Assistant Plant Services Manager leads a maintenance team in a high-volume industrial manufacturing environment, focusing on equipment reliability, team performance, and continuous improvement to support production success. Responsibilities include reviewing, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance work; coordinating maintenance, fabrication, and equipment modification; direct maintenance of utility systems (heat, steam, electric power, gas, and air); partnering with production, engineering, quality control, and management to resolve issues and improve reliability; reviewing reports to plan maintenance; developing procedures to improve operations and reduce costs; training and developing team members; preparing and monitoring departmental budget; supporting CAPEX projects; and building an engaged team focused on KPIs, uptime, preventive/predictive maintenance, organized tools and equipment, and rapid response to equipment failures.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience leading or supervising industrial maintenance operations in a manufacturing or production environment
- hands-on industrial maintenance experience
- mechanical ability
- effective written and oral communication skills
- ability to motivate, train, and educate
- ability to build successful regulatory agency relationships
- pass preemployment drug screen and background check
