Job Summary
Conduct cleaning and sanitizing of the building according to good manufacturing practices and health and safety standards. Perform wet and dry cleaning tasks using equipment such as sky lift units, forklift trucks, and hand trucks. Adhere to sanitation plan schedules for daily, weekly, and other frequencies while recording all necessary information for the sanitation program. Manage trash removal and recyclable items, maintaining a high sanitation level throughout the facility. Operate floor cleaning equipment and work at heights up to 30 feet as required. Complete daily sanitation task paperwork and follow all safety procedures and guidelines. Perform other assignments as required within the Operations team at 600 Clarke Road, London.
Required Qualifications
- OSSD diploma or equivalent and successful passing of basic qualification testing
- 1-2 years manufacturing experience
- Must be familiar with food plant operations
- Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment
- Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to operate powered hand trucks and ability to obtain Forklift certification required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to respond to changing priorities and fluctuating workloads
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Ability to do heavy physical work (e.g. lifting up to 50lbs)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Available to work other shifts as required
- Must be able to work at heights up to 30 feet
