Plant Safety Professional

Respond to and coordinate all emergency operations in the plant, including first responder duties with on-site medical staff. Provide guidance to Contract Security Services and the Emergency Response Team while investigating incidents to determine causes and devise preventative measures. Assist in developing safety training programs, monitor overall plant safety including contractor compliance, and coordinate hot work and confined space programs. Monitor fire systems, perform audio-metric testing, vision screening, and respirator fit testing as requested. Support the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager in all safety, fire, industrial health, ergonomics, environmental, and security areas. Requires a HS diploma or associate degree in safety with 2 years of Industrial Occupational Health and Safety experience, First Aid/CPR or EMR certification (EMT sponsorship required), and ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule. Located at the BF Goodrich Tire Plant in Woodburn, Indiana.
