Plant Quality Technician

Perform quality and safety tests on raw materials, in-process, and finished products; conduct standardized qualitative and quantitative analyses to determine physical or chemical properties of food products, and document results accurately. Conduct pre-operational sanitation reviews of the processing environment and equipment; collect environmental surfaces, finished product, and ingredient samples for microbiological and chemistry attributes; verify package dates and AQLs; print labels if required; place products on hold when not meeting AQLs; report deviations to management; maintain HACCP records; ensure compliance with GMPs, FSIS/USDA, and safety policies; support sanitation initiatives and other duties as assigned; occasional travel to other locations may be required.
