Plant Quality Technician - Motorsport & Advanced Manufacturing

Job Summary
Lead on-site quality activities in the Production Plant or Workshop in Kidlington, serving as the main on-site point of contact for Quality to Manufacturing Operators. Conduct in-process QCs and End-of-Line signoffs, record non-conformances with detailed information, escalate high-severity issues, quarantine and triage non-conforming parts, and report inspection outcomes to stakeholders. Administer calibration of production-relevant tooling, monitor FOD, and educate technicians in FOD reporting. Collaborate with Programme Management, Engineering, Manufacturing and the Quality team to ensure conformity to drawings and specifications, using measurement tools and PC-DMIS, and uphold quality systems (ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA, AS9100). Lead by example in Fortescue values and contribute to continuous improvement through NCRs, 8D, and internal audits. Must have manufacturing/production plant experience and strong communication skills, with knowledge of GD&T and technical drawings.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in and passion for fast-pace, high-performance and success-driven environments, ideally Motorsports
- Experience of working in a Quality role with live electrical components, HaV or other hazardous environments
- Experience in a Manufacturing / Production Plant Environment is required
- Experience working with measurement instruments including hand-tools as well as digital measurement tools
- Formal training in the above and knowledge of PC-DMIS is required
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, drawings and specifications, including GD&T
- Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA, AS9100 or similar is required
- Experience in Problem Solving, NCR, 8D, Concessions and Internal Audits is required
- Experience with liaising with customers on production related topics
