Plant Purchasing and Inventory Specialist

Job Summary
Operate lift trucks and pallet jacks with pre-start inspections while executing material planning, procurement, and inventory control for production. Source and receive raw materials, put away incoming products, and manage hardware kits on and off site. Conduct physical counts, reconcile discrepancies, and adjust inventory in IQMS using an RF scan gun to track shortages or gains. Maintain receiving racks, organize floor space, and schedule dumpster pickups. Perform receiving functions, label RMAs for fabrication, and manage scrap, saw dusts, and cardboard runs. Rotate stock to keep lower racking full and back up truck drivers as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to five years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to communicate & comprehend in the English Language
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work adeptly at elevated heights
- Ability to accurately compare color and pattern of products to quality control standards
- Possess strong Microsoft office suite and keyboarding skills
- PPE is required
- Appropriate hearing protection while in the plant is required
- Ability to flex shift and complete OT as required
- Maintain an acceptable level of performance & attendance
- Possess the ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Able to quickly and accurately compare color and pattern of products on the basis of visual stimuli to quality control standards
- Comfortable working at elevated heights
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Preference to team members with prior truck driving experience
- Forklift Experience a plus
