Job Summary
Monitor and ensure the reliability of industrial plant equipment, including belt conveyors, pumps, and screw conveyors, while operating skid steers, bulldozers, and front-end loaders. Perform pre-shift inspections, preventative maintenance, and equipment clean-up to maintain safety and efficiency, reporting hazards immediately. Ensure environmental requirements are met by monitoring dust emissions, scrubber flow, and pressure readings, while maintaining good housekeeping in assigned areas. This role involves working outdoors in non-temperature controlled environments subject to weather conditions, with loud noise levels requiring PPE. Two schedule options exist: 12-hour rotating shifts with monthly changes or 8-hour shifts on a 5-on-2-off basis. A pre-placement physical and drug test are required prior to placement. Intrepid extracts minerals for agriculture, feed, oil, and gas industries, emphasizing teamwork and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum one (1) year general labor and/or industrial plant experience
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and push and/or pull up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders, and potentially work at heights, perceive color differences
- Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- A pre-placement physical and hair follicle drug test will be required for anyone selected for this opportunity
- 12-hour shifts, rotating shift schedule, with a 7 day long change once a month, or 8-hour shifts, 5 on and 2 off - every week you swap between days and nights
