Job Summary

Oversee AD plant operations by adjusting critical systems like pumping and chemical metering equipment to ensure steady-state performance. Conduct daily rounds monitoring equipment, leading pre-shift meetings, and coordinating maintenance work orders for timely repairs. Manage specific area operations including digester volumes, biogas parameters, and centrifuge solids while performing required laboratory sample collections. Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards through proper PPE use, spill control, and housekeeping maintenance. Lead new employee training, resolve operational bottlenecks, and coordinate with the Plant Manager on performance improvements and shift coverage. Work two shifts Monday through Friday with overtime availability in a physically demanding environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High School education
  • Over five years experience in a related position and environment with knowledge of the methods, techniques, and practices of water/wastewater treatment
  • Must have an understanding of the BTA Processes including Digesters, wastewater treatment process, water quality assurance, maintenance strategy and laboratory procedures
  • Must demonstrate effective skills in troubleshooting, problem solving and team building
  • Ingenuity and initiative are required to coordinate problem resolution and to execute the schedule requirements within a team environment
  • Have general knowledge of budget preparation and understanding of cost control
  • Demonstrated good verbal communications and interpersonal skills in order to interface with and motivate all levels of personnel
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate, timely, effective, complete and easily understood written communications and reports
  • Proficiency in the care and use of all site specific, facility required PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Ability to use computer systems such as Email, VNA University, SCADA trending and data retrieval
  • Must be able to respond to emergency calls as needed and work extended hours to accommodate site needs
  • Demonstrated commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company's Code of Business Conduct and other Company policies and procedures
  • Own transportation
  • Monday - Friday; 5:00 AM– 2:30 PM & 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Overtime; two weeks days then switch to two weeks afternoons. Possible extending to 3 shift operation in the future

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a science or technical area preferred
