Job Summary
Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment facilities by monitoring plant equipment, collecting and analyzing water samples for quality control, and performing routine maintenance and cleaning. Assist in daily treatment processes while recording operational data and preparing reports. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and environmental regulations. This entry-level role includes comprehensive on-the-job training to prepare candidates for MDE certification within five years, requiring a rotating shift schedule that covers nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in outdoor and indoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude
