Plant Operator - Renewable Natural Gas (Cottonwood)

Job Summary
Monitor plant systems, perform maintenance, and ensure final product meets quality standards for pipeline injection. Operate blowers, gas pretreatment, chiller, and compression equipment while tuning the facility to maximize production and minimize downtime. Review LOTO, JHA's, and safety concerns; manage inventory and preventative maintenance programs; and maintain detailed records on production data and equipment operational hours. Respond to callouts and assist during outages, identifying and correcting causes or escalating issues to the lead operator. Check daily operating equipment including flow meters and pressure readings to correct conditions before failure occurs. Maintain high cleanliness standards and ensure all lighting and safety systems are functional. This role supports the startup of the Cottonwood RNG facility in November.
Required Qualifications
- Landfill Gas Experience or Gas Compression and Treatment
- Refined and high-level troubleshooting abilities
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, SCADA)
- Must possess good mechanical skills
- Must have a current and valid driver's license, without any restrictions
- Must be self-motivated and perform most tasks with little or no supervision
- Will require ability to troubleshoot and decipher issues through SCADA and Manuals
- Working knowledge of pressure, vacuum, and flow
- Experience with pumps, blowers, or air compressors
- Heavy equipment operations experience is preferred (gas turbine & gas compressor O&M)
- Must be able to lift 10-50lbs
- Must be available for night shifts and weekends
- Must be able to participate in rolling callout schedules that require 24/7 availability during that 7-day period
Desired Qualifications
- Basic electrical knowledge is preferred
