Job Summary
Monitor plant operations by paying close attention to amps and cameras to ensure continuous running, while performing inspections before each shift. Start up and shut down the plant, make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment, and assist in aggregate plant repair as directed. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems quickly, including emergency repairs, using knowledge of instrumentation principles. Comply with all safety rules and regulations by wearing proper safety equipment such as hardhats, glasses, and respirators on plant grounds. Maintain reliable attendance and transportation while meeting company safety and performance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain reliable attendance and transportation
- Must meet company safety and performance standards
- Must be able to pass physical and drug test
- Candidate should be minimum of 21 years of age
- Ambitious, dependable, and have a good work ethic
- Must have basic computer skills
- Prior experience multitasking on computers is required
- Must pay close attention to amps & camera to ensure the plant stays running
- Must assist in any aggregate plant repair as directed and perform inspections before each shift
- Must be able to start up and shut down the plant and make minor repairs and adjustments to the equipment
- Must be familiar with the principles of electrical and mechanical instrumentation in order to make the necessary adjustments to operate and make minor repairs on these instruments
- Must have thorough knowledge of mechanics in order to quickly diagnose problems and take necessary action, including emergency repairs
- Must comply with company safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
Desired Qualifications
- Heavy Equipment and Mechanical/Electrical Knowledge preferred but not required
- Prior experience operating aggregate plants is preferred
- 2 years in a similar industry preferred
