Job Summary
Start, monitor, and regulate crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, and pumps while adjusting process settings for optimal material flow and quality. Operate mobile equipment such as skid steers and front-end loaders during load-out or clean-up tasks. Conduct pre-shift and ongoing inspections of plant and mobile equipment, document daily reports accurately, and perform preventative maintenance including greasing, cleaning, screen changes, and belt splicing. Identify malfunctions or blockages, safely shut down equipment during emergencies, and initiate work requests for repairs. Maintain a tidy work area by clearing spillage, dust, and debris, and adhere to all MSHA safety policies and PPE requirements. Communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates to ensure efficient workflow and assist in training new staff on equipment operation and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- 6 months – 1 year of experience in Aggregate Plant Operations or similar Heavy Building Materials industry
- Mechanical aptitude

- Knowledgeable of plant components

- Time management
- MSHA compliance and regulations
- Effective communicator (written and spoken)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, and reach
- Must be able to maintain three points of contact when climbing on/off machinery or on ladders
- Strong hand-eye-foot coordination
- Good depth perception with or without seeing aid for distances up to 150 feet
- Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 85 dbs.
- Flexibility and adaptability to evolving job demands
Desired Qualifications
