Job Summary
Operates surface water treatment plant equipment under supervision to provide a clean potable water supply meeting state and federal requirements. Regulates raw water flow, conducts process control analysis and chemical testing, manages chemicals (chlorine, alum, polymer, lime, phosphate, carbon, fluoride, sodium permanganate), oversees filtration (flow, pressure, backwashing), monitors storage tanks and clearwells via SCADA, records hourly data for reporting, and maintains equipment and buildings. Performs sludge handling and may assist with minor repairs; follows safety and environmental protocols. Shift is overnight and may include weekends/holidays. Requires a high school diploma or GED and Georgia State Operator license; valid Georgia driver's license. Equal opportunity employer.
