Job Summary
Plant Operator I at Airgas fills cryogenic liquids and pure non-flammable industrial gases per SOPs, monitors gauges, adjusts valves, fills cylinders to prescribed weight, tests gas purity, inspects cylinders for defects, and handles cylinders manually or with material handling equipment. The role requires ability to obtain forklift certification, reading/comprehension of documents, and lawful U.S. employment authorization. Benefits are provided and schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm. Responsibilities emphasize safe cylinder filling, weight verification, system monitoring, quality checks, and teamwork to meet plant goals.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to become Forklift Certified
- Must be able to read and comprehend all written and computer generated documents
- Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
- This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior forklift experience
