Job Summary
Operate the Bitumen/Emulsion plant and manage equipment maintenance and cleaning to ensure adequate production meets customer demands. Perform plant operation, troubleshooting, and inspections using appropriate measuring and test equipment while following supervisor or Department Manager requirements. Maintain a safety record by adhering to instructions, plans, and schedules independently. This role requires a Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence and ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends. Full training is provided for civil plant operations experience.
Required Qualifications
- Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence
- WTR and/or a F Endorsement
- Ability to work flexible shifts
- some night and weekend work
- Ability to work effectively in a small team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An unwavering commitment towards living safely with a safety record to match
- Follow instructions, plans and schedules independently of direct oversight
- Good computer skills
- All successful candidates must undergo and pass a pre‐employment medical and drug screen prior to employment
Desired Qualifications
- General plant operation knowledge
- basic trouble-shooting ability
- A mechanical or engineering background
- Experience or exposure to civil plant operations - Asphalt Plant or Bitumen Plant
