Job Summary
Plant Operator Floating for ReadyMix oversees and ensures efficient operations of the concrete batch plant, may float between plants, supervises yard and plant personnel, coordinates with Dispatch to meet customer needs, monitors supplies and equipment, conducts inspections, and ensures safety and environmental compliance. Responsibilities include supervising drivers and other personnel, handling complaints, maintaining reports, ensuring plant cleanliness, managing samples and quality issues, and performing pre/post-trip inspections. Required skills include operating heavy equipment (front-end loader), basic math, written/verbal communication, and familiarity with dispatch systems and plant software. Certification as a State Certified Concrete Technician is required within one year of starting; High School education is required.
Required Qualifications
- State Certified Concrete Technician (must become certified within 1 year of assuming position)
- Experience operating a front-end loader or other heavy equipment preferred
- Basic computer knowledge; ability to learn dispatch system, iPad, and company software applications
- Written and verbal communication skills; basic mathematical skills
- Excellent organizational skills; problem-solving abilities
- Education: High School
- Bilingual in Spanish Preferred: No
