Job Summary
Operate and maintain power, heat, and cooling systems in the hospital. Responsibilities include firing boilers, controlling generation of heating and cooling, maintaining chillers and cooling towers, inspecting boiler room and air handler unit equipment, adjusting controls to correct malfunctions, recording meters and repairs in log books, testing and treating boiler water and cooling tower chemicals, performing minor repairs, cleaning boilers and chillers, maintaining small equipment, and executing preventative maintenance programs with documented records; drive may be required; must have reliable transportation; strong emphasis on confidentiality, ethics, and compliance with hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or minimum of five years related experience in air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical engineering, or plant maintenance.
