Job Summary
Perform facility inspections, maintenance, and repairs on plant equipment including CAT G3500 and G3600 gas engines. Monitor and adjust system controls to improve performance, respond to alarms, and implement shut-down and start-up procedures. Maintain compliance with state and federal permitting requirements while completing daily, monthly, and annual reports. Order and purchase inventory for plant operations, coordinate activities with utility companies and landfill personnel, and assist other facilities as advised. Complete required regulatory training and perform security inspections around the plant. This role includes an introductory 90-day period with performance evaluation against attendance, quality, and safety standards. Pay ranges from $29 to $33/hour, with up to 25% travel expected.
Required Qualifications
- 1-5 years of operation and maintenance experience on mobile or stationary engine generator sets up to 1500kW
- Must possess ability to read and interpret operations and safety manuals
- Must possess ability to analyze and apply basic troubleshooting and repair techniques on plant equipment
- Must possess digital literacy (Word, Excel, PLC and email systems)
- The ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs
- Must be able to crouch, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in an environment of constant loud noises and extreme heat
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver's license
