Job Summary
The Plant Operator operates and maintains asphalt facility equipment, gathers samples of materials, and performs liquid asphalt transfers. This position requires operating manual and power tools safely, maintaining records, and performing general plant cleaning and maintenance tasks. Candidates must have good mechanical skills, effective communication abilities, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as flexibility in work schedules, is essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass Federal background check to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of hire
- Ability to obtain a 24 hour Hazwopper Certification
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Commitment to understanding and complying with all Federal, State, Local and Company regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to perform duties in elevated-height areas
- Strenuous physical activity is involved
