Job Summary
The Plant Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining asphalt facility equipment and related records. Key responsibilities include gathering samples of elevated-temperature materials, operating forklifts and other machinery, performing general plant cleaning, conducting maintenance tasks, monitoring production processes, and managing paperwork that involves basic math skills. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, physical stamina for strenuous activities, and adaptability to work in varied weather conditions. A strong commitment to safety and compliance with regulations is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to work in elevated-height areas accessible only by stairs or ladders
- Must be able to perform basic math functions
- Must demonstrate a commitment to understanding and comply with all Federal, State, Local and Company regulations, policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Strenuous physical activity is involved
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
