Job Summary
Operate multiple automation systems controlling manufacturing and batching equipment while weighing and setting up feed ingredients. Fill micro-bins, record inventory, and dump totes into mixers or pits. Load and unload ingredients from hopper bottom trailers using a forklift and semi-truck in the yard. Perform preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, and routine housekeeping. Complete paperwork and reports accurately. Requires forklift and spot truck certification, ability to lift 60 pounds, and work in dusty, cold, hot, or humid environments. General new hire safety training, LOTO, and confined spaces training required. Belstra Milling Co. is a certified Safe Feed/Safe Food facility producing quality feed for livestock producers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Operation monitoring
- Strong communication skills
- Mathematical competency / Reading comprehension
- Troubleshooting
- Critical thinking
- Ability to regularly lift 60 pounds
- Ability to walk, kneel, bend, climb, etc.
- Climb ladders and stairs and work at heights with good body balance
- Work near moving mechanical parts and a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to work in a dusty, cold, hot, humid environment and withstand exposure to seasonal weather conditions
