Job Summary
Develop the plant operating plan and manage budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators for safety, quality, and productivity. Lead supervisory staff to establish performance goals, resolve production and scheduling issues, and drive continuous improvement across reliability maintenance and capital expenditures. Establish consistent processes and standards while coaching employees to achieve targets within regulatory requirements. Provide leadership to supervisors and develop talent for future opportunities. This greenfield plywood facility in Beaumont, Mississippi will employ up to 250 people and operates under the Hood Management Philosophy of "The Hood Way."
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in forestry, business, manufacturing, or a related field
- 5+ years of process manufacturing experience including direct supervisory experience
- 3 to 5 years of demonstrated leadership of multiple departments within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships and foster teamwork
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make timely decisions that support safe, efficient, and effective plant operations
- Proven leadership skills to motivate and guide the operations team toward a culture of reliability and continuous improvement
- Candidates without the required degree must be willing to obtain it through the company's educational assistance program
