Job Summary
Oversee maintenance operations, building systems, and life safety compliance across multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities while providing operational and technical support to facility leadership. Manage electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems through preventive maintenance programs, vendor oversight, and capital improvement projects. Conduct facility inspections, interpret NFPA, CMS, and OSHA regulations, and ensure all equipment remains safe, efficient, and survey-ready. Support emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response efforts, including extensive travel between sites up to 75% of the time. Maintain documentation related to regulatory compliance and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available for 24/7 on-call support
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare maintenance leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of healthcare facility operations, Life Safety Code, CMS requirements, OSHA and NFPA standards, and survey readiness
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, budgets, vendors, teams, and work order systems
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Experience with emergency preparedness management
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Ability to travel extensively with overnight stays
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to walk facilities, climb ladders, inspect equipment, access rooftops/mechanical rooms, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to respond to facility emergencies outside normal business hours
- Ability to communicate effectively in English via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Ability to use a computer, phone, and related technology for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- 5 years of healthcare maintenance leadership experience (SNF, LTC, hospital, or healthcare facility strongly preferred)
