Job Summary

Operate, maintain, and repair MEP systems, HVAC, and boiler equipment while responding to routine and emergent service calls. Troubleshoot leaks and breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance on compressors, chillers, and generators, and conduct water sample testing. Execute emergency generator tests, log results, and complete daily log sheets and round sheets submitted to supervisors. Comply with PPE requirements for hazardous substances and assist facilities management in planning new programs. Request supplies as needed and utilize building management software to control and monitor systems. Requires OE2 or S2 license, five years of experience, and large plant steam production expertise. Required Qualifications

  • High School or trade/vocational school graduate
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience preferably in hospital or healthcare setting
  • Operations Engineer II (OE2) or Unlimited Heating, Piping, and Cooling (S2) License
  • Ability to obtain Operations Engineer II (OE2) or Unlimited Heating, Piping, and Cooling (S2) License within 12 months of employment
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to read control schematics
  • Ability to read technical manuals
  • Ability to read specifications
  • Basic knowledge of all HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Basic knowledge of all mechanical processes
  • Large plant experience
  • Experience with high pressure steam
  • Experience with chilled water production
