Job Summary
Night-shift Plant Nurse provides medical care for incidents and serves as first responder as needed, supports Safety Managers in coordinating health services, manages workers' compensation records and scheduling, conducts pre-employment physicals and drug testing, develops and implements employee health and wellness programs, maintains relationship with local occupational health clinic, and administers programs for hearing conservation, heat stress, respiratory protection, and ergonomics, along with related duties. Requires current LPN license or COHN certification (or willingness to obtain), occupational health experience preferred, and ability to handle confidential health information with knowledge of OSHA/ADA/FMLA. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required OR Certified EMT, Paramedic, etc.
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification or willingness to obtain.
- Prior occupational health experience within a similar environment preferred.
- Ability to ensure confidentiality of employee health information.
- Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA regulations.
- Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
