Plant Nurse (Night Shift)

Job Summary
Plant Nurse (Night Shift) provides medical care and acts as a first responder, supports Safety Managers in coordinating health services, maintains workers' compensation information and arranges doctor visits and transportation, conducts pre-employment physicals and drug testing, and develops employee health/wellness programs. Responsible for occupational health activities including hearing conservation, heat stress management, respiratory protection, ergonomics training, and maintaining relationships with the local occupational health clinic. Requires LPN license or EMT/Paramedic certification and COHN certification (or willingness to obtain); strong confidentiality, communication, and regulatory knowledge (OSHA, ADA, FMLA); physically able to lift up to 25 lbs and work in environments with noise and production-line exposure. Required Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified EMT/Paramedic
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification or willingness to obtain
- Prior occupational health experience preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee health information
- Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Prior occupational health/industrial health experience is preferred
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification or willingness to obtain
- Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to ensure confidentiality of employee health information
