Plant Mechanic

Job Summary
Maintain and repair pumps, compressors, motors, engines, generators, and rotating equipment within the gas plant. Perform repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting on compression packages and various pumps while conducting engine and compression oil analysis. Ensure operations sites remain safe by working near electrical circuits and machinery in varying outdoor weather conditions. Keep detailed and accurate records for planning, scheduling, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate mechanical maintenance as needed and communicate with personnel, departments, and outside officials. Work a 12-hour rotating schedule with 14 days on and 14 days off.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
- Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in extreme outdoor temperatures
- Must be able to communicate, and work with other personnel, departments, and outside officials
- Basic Computer skills needed for planning, scheduling, record keeping, regulations, engine analysis, and troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of plants, process flow, and component's purpose
- Must be knowledgeable of hazards and safety details within the stations
- 12 hour rotating schedule/ 14 days on-14 days off
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of formal or industry experience in oil/gas field is preferred
- General operational mechanical and maintenance knowledge of natural gas engines, gas compressors and liquid handling pumps
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced facility personnel
