Job Summary
Field-based Plant Mechanic role diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining CAT machinery across Tamworth sites for WesTrac. Requires Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or Automotive Technology, Australian Recognised COP & transcripts, and a current driver’s license. Experience with Caterpillar equipment, SIS/ET exposure desirable, and ability to work autonomously in the field and as part of a team. Includes 12.5-hour shifts, 8x6, 4x3, or 7/7 rosters, relocation support, field service ute and accommodation, and a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship to minimise equipment downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent
- Certificate III in Automotive Technology or equivalent
- Australian Recognised COP & Transcripts (Mandatory)
- Current driver’s license
- Familiar with Caterpillar Equipment
