Job Summary
Plant Maintenance professional responsible for visually inspecting machines and equipment, locating malfunctions based on operator input, conducting plant inspections, and performing preventative maintenance to support efficient plant performance. Responsibilities include installing/assembling machinery per blueprints, diagnosing and repairing batch panels, removing/replacing malfunctioning motors and pumps, realigning components, operating shop equipment (grinders, band saws, cut-off saws, drill presses, forklifts, cranes), maintaining clean and safe work areas, adhering to safety policies and OSHA regulations, and traveling to support other company facilities as needed. Requires standing for long periods in hot conditions, strong teamwork with peers, contractors, and the public, and flexibility in schedule to cover nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass pre-employment requirements (drug screen, criminal background check, driving record review)
- Must possess a valid and current Driver’s License or equivalent
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary
- Strong mechanical knowledge of machine diagnosis and repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems and components
- Basic knowledge of welding and light fabrication
- Ability to communicate, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to use basic hand tools
