Job Summary
Lead manufacturing operations by developing and managing production schedules aligned with customer demand, optimizing labor efficiency, and enforcing safety compliance. Champion Lean manufacturing, 5S, and PDCA problem-solving while overseeing inventory, supplier relationships, and quality control systems. Establish organizational structures, standard operating procedures, and SMART goals for employee development. Collaborate with Sales and Service teams to ensure smooth project execution and drive continuous improvement. Requires 4+ years of fabrication leadership experience, OSHA knowledge, and proficiency in CAD. Full-time role with occasional travel; benefits include 401(k) matching and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or fabrication leadership in similar role
- Proven ability to lead teams and achieve production, safety, and quality goals
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD drawings
- Strong knowledge of steel and aluminum fabrication processes
- Experience with employee scheduling, training, performance management, and discipline
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed for various plant tasks
- Exposure to production environments may involve some physical effort, including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Occasional travel to other locations may be required for meetings or site inspections
