Job Summary
Oversees daily plant operations to meet production schedules safely and cost-effectively. Develops manufacturing operation plans, budgets, and cost controls. Leads safety initiatives and training; ensures regulatory compliance. Manages QA and inventory control, coordinates with functions and suppliers, analyzes production costs and quality, directs maintenance programs, trains staff, participates in budgeting, and supports continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
